A new industry is emerging thanks to the Web: "internet reputation management". It’s focused on "cleaning" negative reports and publications that affect our image from the Internet. Suppose you're a businessman, politician, star, a company, or any professional and have in your past ... guilty black pages, which appear on the computer screen every time someone types your name into Google. Specialized companies undertake to erase or "smother" any relevant negative reference, giving you a clean registry online.

There are companies that belong to the so-called "Clean Internet" who with the help of legal experts, information and communication, implement a highly effective tactic. First identify the authors of these articles and owners of websites that publish and try to persuade them to withdraw. "Our arguments relate first and foremost a moral order," said the executive director of one company. "We explain that such information does not have value, as they are outdated, and that they harm our customer without providing any service." Of course often this sort of 'cleaning' is not feasible, because it is impossible to identify the managers of the websites, references are part of official documents, bloggers refuse any kind of intervention or, in some cases, and there are attempts of blackmail.

In these circumstances, when there is no question of breaches of personal data, hence no legal recourse, there is the tactic of "choking." The companies send out annoying posts by dragging them far behind, in the “unclaimed” results of the search engines. Furthermore, they create many websites with the customer's name, filled with positive content about him, which they bring up first in the lists of results. For added reliability, they hang keywords like "new" or "market".

Finally, they have a numbers of seemingly independent sites that refer to websites that promote the same and which are identified as priority by the algorithms of Google. This is valuable services that cost a lot of money. For more information please follow Geeks on Steroids geeksonsteroids Geeks on Steroids Janeth
