I am hoping all is well with you. Things have been busy for me and I have perhaps not been on the web considerably but, I did have one question for you. Have you ever done any research on the foundation of the it is original use and collar?

Also, I have seen it used in other ways, as an example, leash getting addicted to 1 band or both bands? Which information are you privy to and what approach do you use? I'm always open to learning true information.

I actually do not know the history of the pinch collar. It is an excellent question. If I learn anything about it, it will be written about by me here, within my e-zine.

In terms of applying one ring (the D-ring) or two (the D-ring and the security ring)... Usually, I just lift the lead to the D-ring. This is one way the collar is made to be utilized.

It is possible to, however, connect the leash to both rings. This may damper the correction. The pinch collar can be used by you in this manner if you have a really sensitive dog or if you're teaching an exercises where--for some reason--the dog is self-correcting, accidentally.

For instance, when teaching the dog "control" in security work, we attempt to speak to the dog that he must just lunge if the attack order is given, first. prior to the attack command is given if canine runs, he then is adjusted. Nevertheless, in such a scenario, we want to error quietly of under-correcting your dog, in the place of have him think that he should NOT lunge by accidentally over-correcting.
