Facebook likes are a metric which is used to gauge the quality of content by search engines like google, so the more loves have, the better and more likely that the content will appear higher within the SERPs.

People may either like content on your own blog or site (if you have the proper plugin/apps installed) or they are able to much like your Facebook page itself. You'll need your own Facebook page make it possible for the majority of this and I'll link to an article on how to do that ultimately want to know ,.

But how will we get more Facebook likes? Aside from creating great content which encourages individuals to much like your content of their own volition, let's look at 7 effective ways of ways to get Facebook likes.

Advertise Your Facebook Page - Duh! Sure it's a no brainer, but make certain people know that you've got a Facebook fan page for the business or website by advertising it everywhere you advertise anything else. Place your Facebook page's address in your business cards, prominently link to it on every page of your site, bring it up in person when you are getting a chance, place it in your email signature for every time you signal out an email, etc. Would you article market? Why not take a rest from linking aimed at your website and instead send them towards your Facebook page?

Get the Friends to love You - You've already got friends on Facebook hopefully, why don't you make sure they are meet your needs? Send out an article in which you ask everyone to look at and like your page. If you have a lot of friends and they're good people, that'll get you a lot of likes fast. This can help you especially when you're only starting out with a new page because that initial burst of fans of your page will behave as social proof and get your non friends/strangers who take a look at your page to like it, as well, having seen others have done it before.

Use Facebook Advertising - Using Facebook's own advertising network is a great way to get people to take a look at your Facebook page. I do not liken this to purchasing likes since it is a more legitimate way in my thoughts of having likes and targeted likes at this.

Buy Facebook Fans

Join Relevant Groups - Joining and interesting in groups that are relevant to your niche is a good way to get the term out regarding your page and consequently have people take a look and perhaps like it.

Twiends - Twiends is a free service made predominantly for getting twitter followers, but it may also be used to obtain more Likes on Facebook for your page and views for the YouTube videos and for free at that, check it out.

Incentivized Likes - I am not sure incentivized is really a word, but you can provide an incentive in exchange for getting people to like your content.

You may also put content like videos in your fans only portion of your page to ensure that people are only able to access the videos by being an admirer, thus encouraging these to remain an admirer. Add new content on a semi consistent basis for your fan section and it almost seems like a neat exclusive membership community.

Comment on Blogs With Facebook Comments Enabled - You most likely started looking over this last one and saw "comment on blogs" and thought to yourself, really Paul? Blog commenting? Commenting on blogs isn't very exciting or ideal for ways to get Facebook likes until you start blog commenting with Facebook commenting enabled. This means that everyone participating in the comment section discussion is currently on Facebook.

Use the same tactics you typically use when blog commenting and people might find your good insightful blog comments just like they would take a look at your website they'll check out your Facebook fan page. The conversion rate for doing this and getting the like should be higher than a normal blogging scenario as you're not selling them something on the landing page, you're just looking to get the free like, and plus individuals are a lot more wanting to go to a page on Facebook than someone's blog.
