Why Can't I Get Six Pack Abs?
Are you one of the people asking 'why can't I get a six pack abs'? Perhaps you have tried endless amounts of stomach crunches, sit ups and workouts and yet you don't see that washboard stomach. Have you ever wondered if you are doing the exercises right? Perhaps you think you just haven't got a set of six abdominal muscles.
The good news is that actually, no, you don't have six abdominal muscles, you do not have a six pack. In fact you have an eight pack.
You see the abdominal wall is like one ABS Sheet of muscle and there is no difference between the upper and lower sections. This muscle wall has one tendon running from top to bottom and three tendons running from left to right. The tendons pull tightly over the sheet of muscle which gives it that rippled look at what is often referred to as a six pack.
The reason that you can't see a washboard stomach despite doing thousands of crunches, is that it is covered in a layer of insulation.
Yes, fat!
Go take a look at some pictures of people with a fantastically rich set of stomach muscles. You will notice that these people also have incredible definition all over their upper body and legs. This is because they have a low body fat content. Basically their skin wraps directly over the top of muscle with only a very thin layer of fat in between.
If many people clean up their diets before attempting any crunches or gruelling workouts, they will begin to see the abdominal muscles.
The good news is that losing weight does not have to be difficult. There are some incredible foods that will actually help you to burn fat and there are some great exercises that will condition your whole body, work out your abs and again reduce your body fat content.
Follow the simple principle and you will be able to get six pack abs.
