Baby boomers store old pictures, stocks, bonds, financial information and just about their whole life on their computers. They didn't grow up with computers and are enthused with this particular new technology, so they make room within their attic through getting eliminate hard copies.

Using online sharing file storage and backup systems are risky as they can be tampered with and sometimes they go missing. One gentleman in his 60's lost his wife and chose to get a computer to keep all his memories of her along with his important papers, while he thought it might be safer incase someone would burglary or there was a fire.

His computer crashed one day and he lost all this valuable data without any way to get it back. He didn't know about copying files. He lost exactly what meant probably the most to him.
